About Our Lesson Program
Mrs. Nancy Townsend (Maiden Name, Easton) has been a large R Judge and professional trainer of students and horses for over 45 years all over the country. Chancel Stables offers pre-booked lessons Tuesday-Sunday.
The Chancel lesson program is the only equestrian program in the Atlanta area that offers a program completely unique and specific to riders and horses individual needs. The farm provides one of the safest and quietest environments for both children and adults to learn about the wonderful world of horses.
Lesson Pricing
Single 30 Min Private $50
Single 1 Hour Lesson $85
5 1 Hour Lessons $400
5 30 Min Privates $225
The prices above include the use of a school horse, tack and equipment, brushes, and bathing tools.
Our school horses are vetted through our safety program by Mrs. Townsend.
Lesson Schedule
Riding Lessons at Chancel Stables are offered Tuesday-Sunday with the exceptions of Holidays. Lessons are by appointment ONLY. Please contact us to schedule!
is there an age limit?
We offer lessons starting at ages 6 and up! Any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the lesson unless otherwise discussed.
What to bring
All riders must provide their own approved helmet, closed toed boots with a heel, riding pants and appropriate attire. Gloves are recommended for all riders. We recommend bringing water to your lesson!

- 1 Hour Group 10 Week Package $675
- 1 Hour Group 6 Week Package $450
Pre-school riders are not permitted in group lessons until they complete our safety program by Mrs. Townsend.
